Warm Bacon Blue Cheese Dip
My all time favorite dip recipe? Oh I’m so glad you asked!
Warm Bacon Blue Cheese Dip! I’ve been making this with my family for a few years and it’s such a crowd pleaser on the holidays. Cheesy warm bacony goodness topped with toasted almonds - perfect to dip a cracker or crudités. Not crazy healthy but it is lower in carbs and an easy way to sneak some holiday veggies in.
YOU’LL NEED:
7 tbsp of chopped and cooked bacon bits
2 cloves minced garlic
8 oz light cream cheese
1/4 cup low fat half and half
4 oz crumbled blue cheese
2 tbsp chopped chives
3 tbsp slivered almonds
HOW TO:
1. Add your crumbled bacon to a small pan on low-medium. Add in garlic and combine for about 3 minutes. Turn heat off & preheat oven to 350.
2. Add cream cheese to mixer and beat until smooth, then slowly stir in half and half and beat until fully combined.
3. Stir in bacon, garlic, blue cheese & chives until combined. Then transfer to an oven safe dish and top with almonds. Bake on 350 for 30 minutes! Serve with your favorite crackers or veggies.
This should serve 6-8 but you can easily double it for more.
This cozy, delicious dip immediately reminds me of my extended family. My cousins and I have made it more than a few times together and it was served at my wedding shower hosted by all my aunts. Needless to say it’s not only bomb, but also super nostalgic. I hope you and your family enjoy it just as much this holiday season.
